Creative Recycling

International Recycle SymbolImage via Wikipedia
An article on CNN.com lists some very creative recycling ideas in the USA and around the world. One project for MIT students combines recycling and a game similar to Cityville. Another is an arcade sponsored by Volkswagen, where you earn points or rewards for recycling cans and bottles. Unless you are "gung ho" on the environment or involved in programs like these, it doesn't pay much to recycle on an individual basis-except for the feeling that you are doing something good for your environment. For example, my mother recently took cans and sold them at a recycling center and barely got enough funds to cover her gas for the trip there. Probably the easiest way to conserve is to reuse items, by buying or donating items at a local thrift shop, or going on FreeCycle, or buying recycled items.
